I did not purchase this stove from Amazon, but wanted to warn against a dangerous manufacturer defect. Due to coronavirus crisis, I received item at end of February and just had it installed middle of June. It arrived new unused in box so this defect was directly from the manufacturer. I had a licensed contractor install and when he went to test the middle front burner there was a gas leak under the cooktop that combusted, as my contractor put it, a mini explosion occured forcing the entire cooktop upwards, bowing and chipping it as well as scratching the stainless steel backrest. Thankfully he was not injured, other than being surprised and scared by the explosion. When I contacted ZLine Kitchen and Bath to report the incident, although the stove is new, they stated they would not honor the manufacturer warranty because I bought it from a vendor they sell their products to, but it voids their warranties. REALLY? If this is truly a reputable company that takes pride in their products I would think they would cover such a dangerous defect. This company needs to stand by their product regardless. During these hard times this was a major purchase for me and to have a multimillion dollar company refuse to help me is extremely unconscionable.
We purchased this unit for our lake house and used propane for cooktop, electric oven. On a positive note, the range looks great. Very high end professional look. The performance of the unit was very poor. Not even the smallest burner is capable of a simmer or slow boil, making it challenging not to burn food.
The oven cooks very unevenly, as an example a sheet of cookies would result in one side too crunchy and the other too raw,
From the first time we turned it on the oven did not heat. This was a chronic problem. Zline sent repair and it would work for a while but this problem with a non functioning oven occurred 5 more times. And this is a second home for us so didn't get that much use. it was the same problem each time -- a faulty heat sensor, but changing it out did not resolve the issue. We were able to return this and purchased a different brand.
I would definitely recommend not wasting your money, time and aggravation with this appliance. Better options out there for similar money.
If I could give this a no star I would. I bought this stove last fall and have called the company several times since March to get service on it. The convection over cooks in the back and under cooks in the front. The cook top doesn’t cook properly either.
Each time I call Zline, I am told that they are trying to find a repair person for my area. I live near a major city and find it hard to believe that there is no one in my area that can repair this stove. My last call was answered by a girl named April went unreturned after she promised she would call me back. I am getting ready to call the Better Business Bureau tomorrow. Sadly, a friend of mine bought the same exact stove and is dealing with the same customer experience as I am. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THE APPLIANCE, NOT WORTH IT!!!!

I love the range, great quality and have never had a problem using it. The only problem is the black top will get 'stains' if you read the website on how to clean. ANY acid including vinegar, salts, tomato sauces, lemon will ultimately lead to what looks like dull discolorations. Worst yet is not it seems in my trying to get rid of those dull spots, I let windex with vinegar sit for a while and did not know BEFORE that this would actually make my issue worse. Now all of the black looks DULL!!!!
My only way around this now is once I clean ,use a soft cloth and spray it with some olive oil spray to make it look 'shined' It's a shame this is even possible with an otherwise great stove.
I've called several times to try and talk with someone and haven't received a call back. We initiated the service call because our oven stopped working. When I first called they told me a service technician would come out and fix the issue. Instead of sending a technician, a new bottom heating element arrived in the mail. I called several times asking why a technician wasn't scheduled for us. After getting completely frustrated, I tried to install the new element. We came to find out that all three wires that plug into the element had melted indicating that we might have almost had a fire. I don't feel comfortable trying to fix this and I feel totally let down by Zline.
We hope that this is an anomaly and that maybe you can arrange for a technician to come and properly fix the problem. We have been without a working oven for 3 weeks now.
Just got my range today, cooked on top. This bad boy cooked like a dream, each burner has a specific purpose. Fired up each burner, they were all responsive. Easy to hook up, used our air sled to get it into place. I had a viking in my new house when we bought it, after a lot of time and cleaning we realized it was going to be a no go. So we bought the zline. The zline is not nearly as heavy as the viking was, the guys delivering the zline carted off my viking, even using the body straps they had a tough time getting it to their truck. It was heavy!! Anyway, i will update this review tomorrow after i bake.
