Very happy with this hood. Looks great and well made. Not as easy to install as other review have said, especially since the manual seems to be for a different design for the method of attaching to the wall. Figured it out eventually, but ended up with scratches on the inner sleeve of the duct cover from sliding it through the outer sleeve. Also, if you have any kind of cove on the corner of the ceiling/wall be prepared to drill holes in the sleeve so you can attach it to the bracket below the cove.
I chose this product for its modern glass and stainless combo look. I did not want to spend a fortune (less than $200) as I am remodeling my 1971 kitchen bit by bit as I cannot afford $55K out of pocket all at once.... this vent is sleek and quiet and very modern looking although it looks like it will work in a more traditional/transitional setting also. I plan on removing upper cabinets and just having bare tiled walls with some shelving. it is just installed, and took the contractor approx 2.5 hrs (the old cabinets were more of a challenge than installation of the vent itself). the controls are on the front and there is very little noise. I am happy with this purchase and feel it will complement a transitional kitchen look when complete. Sorry about the look of the old cabinets but they will eventually be removed.
I love the look of our hood! I think it does a good job and would recommend it to others. The only reason for 4 stars is because I’m going to have to finagle something with the chimney- The outer/inner system is not very user friendly with our ceilings. I’m sure if you have taller ceilings- it would be easier to take the chimney all the way up and his the venting- we have just BARELY enough height to use both- but need both. It’ll get done- just not as easy as I’d hoped.
If you are a terrible cook like me and are constantly burning food, then this is the kitchen hood you want. Its certainly cheaper in appearance and fit and finish then a more expensive model, but it has a strong motor and installed without much fuss. For the money, I don't think you'll do any better.
Contractor had easy time to install vent and ducting in attic to outside. Though a little loud it is very powerful to remove smoke and fumes. Looks great with minor kitchen remodel.

Love this Range Hood. Love the backlit controls, no old knobs to mess with. The blower functions well, we installed as an outside exhaust, just needed an expandable dryer pipe...no problem venting it outside. Love the texture and shape of the chimney on it. LED lighting is not super bright but not a problem and will never have to replace... Highly recommend.
Installation instructions are not great. Only reason to not get 5 stars.
Excellent suction power, but a bit noisy at my opinion, but probably they are all noisy. Otherwise looks great, works as advertised.
