Bought this stove to replace my aging Wolf 6 burner with griddle and two ovens, the Wolf lasted 20 years but was getting old and needed work, it was a commercial restaurant stove so is hard to get someone to work on it and it was rusting in spots etc. We wanted a smaller stove to gain some counter space so we went with this. So far I like it, it came dented on the side and amazon gave us 40 percent off! the list price and seeing no one will see the dent that was awesome. I did contact Thor Kitchen about it however to see how they would respond, they never called me back so buyer beware. I can see people having knobs melted because if you use the gas broiler and open the door (this is a gas broiler and oven) the flames lick the outside at the front a bit (they do say in the manual not to leave the door open while using the broiler for more than a few seconds, so either open it when the broiler flame is not lit as it constantly turns on and off when in use or only open it very quickly. When using the oven or broiler in general it gets very hot on the upper back of the oven so make sure you have fire resistant wall behind it, we have a tile wall and plaster behind it so its safe. The biggest gripe I have is that this thing scratches so easily its crazy. All you have to do is look at it and it scratches. I told the guys who were installing our new cabinets not to leave tools on it as it scratches easy, but when I checked on them later they had totally scratched up the top face in front of the burners some how :( Oh well... I rather be the one who messes up my new stove not installers but such is life. SO when you get it installed tell your guys to be very careful. I have amazing gas flow via the top burners with this thing almost to the point of it being a little scary but I like it. You just have to be careful with this baby when using it. Another thing is when you use the oven, the knobs get hot and don't turn as easily as they do when just using the range which is a bit odd. Over all I do like it and hope it will last for at least 10 years. This stove is sold under many company names and they just stick their logo on it. So beware, Thor Kitchen is only one of the names that sell this stove. Maybe call the company you want to buy from first and check out how they treat you as a customer before actually buying to later find out that customer service is non existent. Amazon delivered it and installed it. They charged me extra for removing my old beast of a stove but I knew that was coming, but they gave us a really nice discount for the side dent so thumbs up to Amazon. One other pet peeve is the center grate, as you cook stuff will splatter onto the stove surface under the center grate so you have to take it off and clean under it all the time, just make sure not to drag it as you remove it or you will have the dreaded permanent scratches. Also one last thing is all the burner grates have rubber feet under them so you don't scratch the surface when removing them to clean the stove and to support them but my guess is they will not last more than a few years and will have to find replacements... Hello Thor Kitchen..... anybody home?
I purchased a Thor Kitchen HRG3080U 30" Freestanding Professional Style Gas Range with 4.2 cu. ft. Oven, 4 Burners, Convection Fan, Cast Iron Grates, and Blue Porcelain Oven Interior, in Stainless Steel from Amazon over a year ago, but didn't receive what was advertised. Instead, I received a completely older model (first photo in a series of 2 show what I had purchased; photo 2 is what was delivered by Amazon). As you can see, they are not the same. Additionally, this Thor Gas Range has been nothing but a problem since it's installation. The right side of the unit runs "hot" - so much so that my cabinets near the oven door have discolored (used to be white, now a light beige) and the coil surrounding the glass on the door (the right side only) has turned black, while the coil on the left side remains silver in appearance. The door doesn't close flush any longer due to heat swelling/warping the structure. Additionally, the right back corner has begun to bubble from heat. Lastly, the stove burner caps have begun to disintegrate & discolor, leaving a fine dust on the surface of the stove top; as if they are burning so hot, parts of the caps are turning to dust. While the Thor customer service in California is very good, I can't help but think about the person who packaged this unit; knowing they were sending something I never ordered. That's the worse part; imagine how different my day would have been if my stove actually functions properly and I didn't have to scramble for help or write this review warning others from Amazon's shady practices of false advertising. To date, I'm waiting for a certified "Thor" service technician to schedule an appointment, but it might take a while since few are in my "area" (Gig Harbor is about 45 minutes south of Seattle). I'll update this post after my oven/stove's been serviced; hoping Thor's 2 year warranty is better than this product.
I almost never write reviews but I had to for this purchase. I'm one of those people who takes forever to make a purchase because I research the hell out of things before I commit. Absolutely LOVE this oven. I cook and bake everyday and this baby is heaven sent plus it looks amazing in my kitchen. The convection oven browns everything perfectly even, the burners bring water to a boil quickly and have even distribution, and the broiler heats quickly and once again, cooks evenly. Love the heavy duty grates and professional look. Easy to clean. Installation was a breeze and it sits flush against the wall. I've had it for about 6 months now and couldn't be happier.

Piece of garbage. For as much as this thing cost the switches shouldn't break off within 4 months. Had the switchs for the burners replaced twice before the warranty ran out. Unfortunately the switch for the power boil broke again, but will cost as much to fix it as to replace the whole unit with a different product.
