We have been debating between replacing the aging over the range vented microwave, or install over the range hood. We are very glad we picked over the range hood. After long exhaustive research, we finally decided that Cosmo's range hood are the best option for the looks, lifetime filters, long term warranty, customer support and budget. Additionally, Cosmo is local to us here in California (if we needed parts or replacement, we will get in in two to three days at the latest) The Cosmo 668AS750, 30inch wall mount range hood did transform the look of our kitchen and complemented our new Samsung stainless steel appliances. The installation was very easy and simple ( We followed the included installation instructions, and everything needed to do the install was included in the box). I highly recommend that you consider Cosmo's products as new install or replacement.
For years I've been installing range hoods during a kitchen remodel. Now that I am doing my own, I have chosen to go with a Cosmo product. It is for me, by far, a well-made product that stands out far from the others in value. The features are nicely thought out with quality in mind. It is functionally superb and appealing as well, the mounting methods and hardware included makes this possible. I would highly recommend this range hood to anyone!

We needed a range hood while remodeling an old house. AFTER we got started putting it in, we realized there was a large wire running right where we needed to go thru the ceiling. Found that this could be ductless and ordered the charcoal filters, problem solved. It looks nice and works great. We were leary of ductless after having a microwave/hood fan that was ductless. This one works! Very happy with our purchase and have recommended to others. Instructions were 😒, but a quick call to the company answered our question of where the small rubber pads were to be screwed in. Turns out, there are already screws in the spots. Very good customer service!
The wife and I had been searching for the right hood to complement our style. We thought we would have to spend hundreds of dollars or even a couple thousand to get the quality we received with this hood. It exhausts great and looks amazing over our new range. I highly recommend their products.
In the midst of installing this unit and have mixed feelings relative to the hood it replaces. The controls are better than the mechanical style on my original hood, but the two LED lights are rather cold in color temperature and provide very little light compared to the halogen bulbs in my old hood. Also, do not get the point of a clock that displays only "military time". Finally, albeit a minor point, why does it come with a three -prong wall plug for power? Who plugs their range hood into a wall-mounter socket on the back splash? While a small detail, it requires an extra step to remove the plug and connect to one's internal house wiring. In summary, I with I knew about the LED lighting as I would have bought another unit.

I had my hood installed by my contractor and his electrician. It seemed to give them a hard time but they got it up and they loved it, as do I. Mine does not exhaust to the outside which makes it noisy on level 2 and really noisy on level 3. My contractor is going to come back and convert it to exhaust outside. He says that will make it less noisy.
Update: starting beeping out of the clear blue sky. The company sent me new parts twice. Didn’t stop the beeping. They eventually sent me an updated version but I had to pay $50 for the delivery charge. Wouldn’t order it again. BTW it was still noisy.
We purchased this as part of our kitchen remodel. First of all, it is absolutely beautiful- but it is incredibly loud. On low it's fine, but if you use the medium or high settings, forget about having a conversation with someone in the kitchen. The installation process was more difficult than it needed to be. The directions aren't helpful at ALL, and if my boyfriend weren't as handy as he is, it would have been returned. Luckily, he was able to put it up and figure it out. The suction could be better, but it's not bad either. Overall, though, for the cost and what you get it's a great buy. Make sure you purchase the converter kit if you plan on going ductless... FYI though you can get the range hood and the converter kit for the same price through home depot. By time I figured that out I had missed my return window. I was a little mad about it, but really, this was so inexpensive that I just let it go.
I did a major kitchen remodel and had to purchase all my appliances ASAP because the kitchen cabinet maker needed the specs. I purchased a Whirlpool vent hood in Sept 2020 at the start of constriction, and it looked similar to this Cosmo vent hood. I bought Whirlpool because I preferred name brand. Well, fast forward to last week when they were installing appliances: the glass from my Whirlpool hood shattered and I was outside the timeframe for refund/replacement. On the fly, I purchased the Cosmo vent hood since the specs on the duct cover were similar to that of the Whirlpool. Let me tell you, I should have just gone with Cosmo to begin with!!! It’s super sleek looking in my new kitchen, but for 1/5 the price! I could not be happier with this purchase. We cooked dinner and I was still able to have a decent conversation with hubby while the vent was on. I was worried I’d have to sacrifice noise due to the affordability, but man I was wrong. Love it!
