This is an exhaust fan that removes smoke (and odors) from the kitchen while cooking on the stovetop. It works. The highest setting makes a fan sound that you can hear clearly, as do the lower settings, which are somewhat softer. It's no louder than any other exhaust fan I've ever had - and it works, does the job of getting rid of smoke, something other high-end much more expensive fans I have had did NOT do. So I recommend this fan. It provides a high-end modern look for a very fair price, and my contractor said it was easy to install. We used the extension piece to bring it down to the right height. I would buy this fan again if I ever need to redo another kitchen. I like it. The noise the highest setting makes does not bother me and I don't really talk to people when I am making a dish that requires high heat and therefore the use of the fan. I also keep it on for such a short time while doing high-intensity cooking that the idea of having a conversation is laughable. Really? You can't keep your pie hole shut for 5 or 10 minutes while you're making dinner?
The first one I recieved wouldn't run. Was shipped a second one but motor was out of alignment causing whole hood to shake loudly. They shipped me a replacement motor and when it arrived it was damaged (appeared to have been previously used). Eventually I recieved a second replacement motor which worked but was a pain to swap out. Final product is mediocre as hood still vibrates a bit. I installed my own pads which helped a bit. The air backflow preventer is very cheap and rattles. Overall, you could save a ton of time and headache by going with a higher quality product.
My contractor was impressed by this fan for the price. I like it ok. It looks nice, except the white is a bit gray and doesn’t go well with every other white element of my kitchen. It beeps every time you push a button, even just to turn on the light. It’s a high pitched beep that is very annoying and serves no purpose. The fan is extremely noisy even on low speed. I don’t use it much so that’s ok but if I used it much at all I would hate it. I would rather have paid more for a different fan.
Looks good; clean lines with no lights on the front which is what I was looking for, and simple push buttons which I like. But it is SO loud, even on low. Sounds like an airport hanger. I was looking forward to having an effective kitchen exhaust fan, but I can't stand to have it on when I'm in the house.
Feels like it shakes the wall when it's on high. Lights are great. Install is pretty easy. The previous hood was hard-wired to the house electric, and this one plugs in, so I needed to install an outlet. That's no more difficult, but you need the outlet and box.

As you can see the lights are in the back of the hood for some reason? And it's quite loud actually not a good buy.. But its a rental thank God
4 ⛥ for the fan. Good up draw with strong air movement. Only issue is that it's noisy. We put some noise deadening material in it and all is good.

real bummer- unfortunately the handyman came and couldn't install...it was 'outside' of business hours so we couldn't find out what sizes were needed...and there's no mention of what sizes are needed in their instructions. I can't speak for the usability as I haven't even been able to mount the hood. These are basics that should be accounted for so that time isn't wasted.
Nice look and solid. You need a qualified technician to install it. It requires a 6 inch duck sealed to reach the 400 CFM. As mentionned by other is is a bit noisy but air flow is noisy at that velocity. The turbine engine is not well balance on mine and vibrate at mid speed, I suspect this is a factory tolerance and some unit could be better than other. I saw video of other models using this turbine with similar problem. Fortunatly my technician install it very solid to the wall structural beam. Noise for noise ... I use it at full speed and enjoy steak, wok and fry cooking on my gaz unit.
I purchased this range hood because it was convertible. Nowhere in the description does it say the conversion kit for ductless is not included. I tried the support line and was told to check the site. It requires 2 people to even lift it!
