The product is good and the value is great, but whatever you do, make sure that you use rigid duct tube when installing and trash the flexible tube that it comes with!!! It’s rubbish!!
If you use it, you will end up with noise from the range hood that’s compared to jet engines in your ears!!! No one can stand that, at least not me!!

Upon unpacking the item we immediately noticed that the hood was not sealed. Its back- and top panels had visible gaps.
Although the suction seemed adequate, we will be returning it due to the poor body assembly and anticipated air/grease leaks, as well as inadequate smoke filtering.
Well , this was a project on itself but well worth it. It has a great suction, usually keeping it at 2 and using 3 for frying. Sucks all the heat and helps keep kitchen cool. Great look and matches with everything. Size was accurate. the most difficult part was the top chimney , flushing it to the roof was a bit tricky.
Received the unit on time, no defects. Easy to Install looks great. Had a small issue with the unit called customer service and Chris was very helpful and friendly. He solved my issue right away. I bought the unit because I needed 633 CFM and the COS-63175S was rated for 760 CFM. So far so good. I read reviews about the noise level, to be honest it's not noisy at all. Any hood you purchase must have noise or it's not powerful enough to do its job. I would highly recommend Cosmo hoods, they have a wide selection and will look great in anyone's home.
This is my attempt #3 of buying a range hood on Amazon. The first two were bought from a different seller, one arrived damaged, the replacement was shipped and also arrived damaged. Then I bought this one and waited with a lot of anxiety for this range hood to be delivered. I must say that the amount of packaging is impressive. The box had plastic inserts on the outside for the handles so that it is easy to carry and handle with care. To me it was a very good sign. When I opened the box, the product was completely covered with Styrofoam, there were also plastic corners to protect the hood corners and the sides. And it was completely covered with sticky blue film to protect from scratches, inside and outside. The blue film actually looks very nice, a bit of contemporary touch, maybe I will leave on the surfaces to protect from dust and grease. The display is covered with clear film. The only suggestion I would have is to actually cover the area around the display with plastic film for protection. This range hood is a bit smaller than others I looked at, but it it is also lighter, easier to carry and hold. The installation process was EASY: 3 brackets, 2 for the chimney, and 1 for the hood. I mounted the brackets on the wall, and then just hung the hood. It took me 30 minutes. The manual was clear, but I would suggest adding a section that would explain that 1 bracket was actually for the hood. For some reason the instructions start with chimney installation. Logically, I need to know how to install the hood and then the chimney. I figured it out looking at the picture in the manual, but it was not as clear as it could be. The range works great, looks great, I am VERY happy with the product.

This range hood has good power, was relatively easy to install, and looks great. We needed to shorten (cut off) the duct cover to fit under our 1846 ceiling height, but that wasn't terribly difficult and worked fine.
Only a couple of negatives:
- the control buttons are not quite as "positive" as one might want, but work all right;
- the instructions have absolutely nothing in them about how to hook up the power, i.e. locate an outlet for the plug, or whether it can be hardwired in; and,
- there is nothing about securely fastening the main vent/blower unit to the wall, though if one looks there are 2 holes for screws in the back panel.
It is stainless, but a lighter gauge than your more expensive exhaust units, I can live with that. Install was very easy, even with lath and plaster walls and ceiling. 1930s cottage. New install , cut 6 1/4 in. hole in ceiling. Comes with accordion type aluminum, thin gauge exhaust duct, maybe 6ft long. I changed it to a sheet metal duct system. It would probably would have worked ok, but I’m not a big fan of it. Directions are very straight forward. Suction is great. It looks great. We’re happy with it.
Piece came damaged during shipping. Almost unable to install vent guards from shipping damage to main vent body. Motor has a wobble or obtained a wobble from the shipping damage and makes loud grinding noise anytime fan is turned on, so unable to review suction power. Light is a good work light or night light. Other then what I assume is purely damage related, the piece looks of good quality and really adds that finishing touch.
