I could not wait to write this review for this hot plate. I was in need of one, so I came to amazon to search, and read a ton of reviews about a bunch of hot plates. My main concern after researching was that a hot plate was not really going to do the job for actual 'cooking' but more for 'warming things up'. So since the expensive ones were saying the same thing that I was assuming, I ordered this one because of the price, $17.00 for a double burner seemed crazy cheap. So I ordered it, and 2 days later it came, and I used it immediately, expecting a real let down. All I can say is I am shocked, in a good way. This hotplate gets as hot, and as fast, as my electric stove. I made an omelet super fast, I boiled water, cooked chicken, and many other things, just like on my stove. I'm not sure why there were a few reviews that said it wouldn't boil water, or that it took forever to heat up, I just don't get it. Was it plugged in and turned on?This heats up immediately, and boils water fast. What a steal.
95% of all the other cookers sabotage 100% of their functionality to their ridiculous 'safety' feature that forces theirs to turn off/on minute at a time when on 'HIGH'. The only downside to the product is that it doesn’t boil water. It cooked what I needed just took a lot longer. I had water on high for over and hour and it still wouldn’t boil. But overall good product for the money.
When I needed a small electric cook top to use instead of the prooane stove in my new used RV, this double burner was easily within my nearly depleted budget. Heats up quickly, fits right atop the gas burners, and gives two cook spots instead of same priced single. Love it!
It's so light in weight but it's not a lightweight in performance. This unit runs really hot! It heats up way more quickly than my old one that it's replacing... and the temp range goes MUCH higher. I'm very impressed.

Easy set up, gets hot fast, not too large. We used this for a cabin that didn’t have a stove. Perfect for indoor and outdoor use. Great value for the cost!
I live in an apartment that doesn't have a stove. I use this stove almost every day, and it works amazingly. It boils water quickly. I've made all kinds of stuff on it: fish, veggies, rice, eggs, a turkey melt, pasta, and more. I highly recommend.
