It’s beautiful! A little loud in startup but then evens out in a second and does its job. So happy we decided on this one. The led is just light enough. Feeling like I’m a Chef!
Full power, sounds like aircraft taking off. As you can see, 35 inches above stove top... simply baking chicken wings, the steam is blowing right past the range hood to the ceiling. I also ordered it and needed a replacement part and it was an absolute nightmare getting the parts. Waited over a month and they pulled a part from another new range hood only for it to come in and have scratches all over. CFM’s they tout are nowhere near accurate. Also Led lights are blueish tint unlike any normal lighting in any normal kitchen. Also buttons stick when you push them, which immediately made me nervous. Don't do business with these jabroni’s.
Great product for the price but not for the novice DIYer. Lots of shortcomings but still looks great and highly functional. I needed to vent this outside because we cook a lot and we were tired of the smoke, grease, and moisture all over the kitchen. The six inch duct is rediculously large so I reduced it down to 4”, not to mention I refuse to cut a six inch hole for the exhaust. I have vinyl siding on the exterior and the available waterproof adapter plates with built in channels only support about a 4” vent pipe. A six inch hole would have been very inefficient energy-wise and it was more difficult to find the venting hardware and pipe than anything else. Because I reduced the vent pipe size, I get vibration issues when I turn the fan onto the medium speed so I only use high or low and no issues. It vents well but there are no actual filter in the decorative screens which might present a future problem. The lights are LED soft daylight, which are not great but work well enough. I did receive the hood quickly but there were some blemishes on the chimney stack so I called customer service and they replaced it. I asked for a missing bracket but they failed to send that. The initial order came quickly but not the replacement parts. As you can see from the picture, the chimney is about five inches too short for a 9’ ceiling, even fully extended. I mounted the hood 32” above the cooking surface because I needed an even number of rows of tile to add. I only had one box of spare tile - not enough, otherwise I would have raised the hood to a full 36” and just trimmed the last inch or two to reach the ceiling. A 4-1/8” hole saw will cost a bit but I could not even find a 6” reasonably priced - for onetime use? I framed in an added 2” to the existing wall so that the hood would protrude out more than 19” because the front Burners of my stove are 26-27” from the way and one of the reasons we used this hood to replace our over the range microwave, which was worthless at venting internally. I do not recommend using a hood to vent internally, just seems pointless unless you just want it for a particular look rather than function. I hope the fan motor lasts a really long time - very effective at removing smoke, stream, and grease from the cooktop.
We purchased this item to replace an older 570 CFM exhaust. We assumed since this one is rated 760 CFM it would work as well as our old one. After going through the install... getting in the attic to connect to the roof exhaust in florida summer is not fun.... we ran it at its max speed and my kitchen filled with smoke. The previous one could hold a sheet of paper to the exhaust at 570 cfm the fact that this one didnt should have been a clue. I brought a cfm sensor and at the fastest speed only for 157 CFM so something is definitely wrong. Hope someone in amazon or the manuf can help dont
want to have to uninstall and send back.
update Sep25: followed their directions only get minimal flow at the low speed and faster speed at the med speed you have to be touching the filters for the tissue to get sucked in and now they tell me that is how it is supposed to work. Used scientific level equipment for cfm measurement at the fast speed barely read 215 cfm no where near the 760 cfm the customer service not very good.
We are installing this right now and I wanted future buyers to be aware that the height of this model of range hood is NOT 41.7" as stated in the diagram in the book or at the website. We were working with around 9 1/2 foot ceilings and while this will still work it will look awkward. The actual dimensions are slightly less than 41" tall with very little if any overlap of the inner and outer chimney. We will now have to hang it higher than I would like it. I will update when we have in installed and operating.

After much research of stainless steel chimney range hoods, I decided I couldn’t do any better at this price point than this Cosmo...and I’m happy with the choice I made. Let’s face it-you can get a very quiet fan if you want to spend 500.00-1000.00 dollars on a range hood. I knew going in that I wasn’t in the luxury market! So I got this Cosmo-it has great features and my expectations were exceeded in all areas. The thing that really sold me was the construction of the unit-rounded corners and NO SEAMS to have to clean. This is a big plus-no square, seamed corners anywhere on the base of the unit. We did not need the extension as we mounted this under a soffit and it was a very easy install. The filters can be removed with one hand and are simple to clean. This unit is not quiet but it’s not offensively loud, either! At 760 cfm, it removes cooking smoke and odors very efficiently. It has two LED lights in the front of the unit and even mounting it at 36” they don’t blind you standing in front of the stove. There are three power levels that can be set to auto shut down which is pretty cool if you need to leave it on for a bit after you finish cooking. Very clean looking and efficient at this price point. I’ve gotten tons of compliments on the unit-we took out the useless cabinet over the stove and replaced the flat unit we had with this and I’m really pleased with the look!
