Looks great for the price. I do have a few issues. 3 of the 5 chrome underplates came bent so they don't lay flush with the cooktop. I was ready to return it until I saw that it was much less noticeable when the burner covers are on. It is also a little hard to light. You have to turn the knob all the way to the right and then a quarter turn back while holding it down for a few seconds. I hope I get used to it. Third which really applies to most cooktops. Make sure you find out the cutout dimensions which typically can only be found in the manual. My counter's cutout was too small so the installer had to cut my counter. Cost me an extra $150 to install.
Attractive to look at but that’s about it. After opening the box, I found no regulator so I went to the plumbing store and paid $33 for one. (Nothing in the manual about the use of a regulator so I assumed it was an oversight.) I then installed the stovetop and it wouldn’t ignite. I then decided to call Empava who told me that although the stove doesn’t require a regulator, they would be happy to send me one at no charge if I wanted one. What? Does that make any sense? After hanging up, I uninstalled the regulator and hooked up the gas line directly. Then I was able to get the burners to light but they wouldn’t stay on after releasing the burners button. This is the process that I used. 1. Turn button to activate igniter, depress the button to release gas, igniter ignites the gas, release the button and turn button to gas mode (out of igniter stage) and the gas flame would disappear. Nothing. So I then started over and this time I just continued pushing the button down to call for gas and the flame finally stayed on. I had this issue with all 5 burners. Is it possible that the lines were being cleared of air? Yea, maybe. So after 15 minutes of doing this, the burners would usually ignite and stay on but not 100%. Not sure if the unit is bad or if it’s just the way they work, ie poorly. Anyway, after igniting all of them, I noticed that there’s no difference whatsoever in all of the flames. The flames are all small so you’ll find no roaring flame for quick boiling for example. No kidding the flames are all so small that you can barely see them. It will serve the purpose of cooking but I wouldn’t recommend it unless you’re looking to save a dollar. I bought it to replace a 30 year old thermador. So for $250, you get what you pay for. I will return it if the tenants say anything about it.
I've installed it for a week now, and it looks gorgeous! I didn't know cooktop can be so pretty. Glad to see this brand.
This cooktop looks quite good. Definitely provides value for the money.
Installation was quite easy. It has a half inch threaded connector that can connect to the gas pipeline directly. If you want to connect a regulator, you will need to get an extensions -1/2” female to 1/2 inch male flare.
Manual does not include installation instructions. But the customer service is quite helpful and responds to emails quickly.
Update: After using this for a couple of weeks, it has become evident that the bigger burners should have been in the front than in the back. When you put bigger pots in the back, the flame heats the back of the counter top and burns it. I have the Formica counter top and can now see a burn pattern on it. Reduced a couple of stars due to this fire risk.
After a minor setback with the first unit I received a replacement unit and quite frankly their customer service is outstanding to say the least. One of the friendliest companies I have ever worked with. What is amazing is that I could take this unit outside if I wanted to and use it as a surface cooktop at my outdoor grill station. It can be used as a counter top unit .Hook up gas and plug it in and your cooking outside at the grill. A little over a year out and this cooktop is still working fine. I need to purchase new knobs due to the relatively low quality of the OEM parts. Easy to clean too!

Pros: Nice layout. Looks cool.
Cons: Burner grates do NOT fit the range. Like they are from a different, or wrong stovetop.
Manufacturer does not sell parts apparently, not in the US anyway.
Got delivered all mashed up. I made some repairs so that it could be installed.
Tore out old range, installed this one, only to find missing pieces on 2 of the burners.
Ended up making up the parts cannibalizing my old range.
Was used, listed as "like new" in Amazon's warehouse. It was not.
It was like "used" with missing parts, oh and we drop kicked it onto the truck.
And like $50 less than new. When will I learn.
It looks great but the glass top is hard to keep that clean look, biggest con is that when you set a skillet on a burner you have to adjust it so that handle is over a grille support otherwise the weight of the handle will cause it to tip over. It does take a little while to get used to the extended light time rather than what we are used to, second or two to light the burner this needs substantially longer light time.
THIS NEW STOVETOP IS GORGEOUS. I COULD NOT BE MORE HAPPY WITH IT STYLISH, WELL-MADE AND BURNERS IN ALL DIFFERENT SIZES TO ACCOMODATE DIFFERENT PANS IS CLASSY. WOULD NOT HESITATE TO RECOMMEND THIS ONE. TRULY A GEM.... VERY REASONABLY PRICED ALSO.
