I bought a 36 inch oven gas range because I do a lot of baking. I love to bake. This oven DOES NOT HOLD TEMPERATURE, It shuts off mid way during the baking cycle. It has ruined so many dishes. I have reached out to customer support several times in the past. I gave up because customer support for this company is beyond a joke.
I was told to trouble shoot by lifting up an oven that weighs over 500lb (I'm sure) to check some funny thing underneath, I was given the runaround MANY MANY TIMES. Then I was told to check different things on the inside. I literally gave up because customer support is ineffective for this company. When I called, I did not receive a call back for another 2 weeks. The man who eventually called me back said they were busy.
We have had this oven for less than 1 year and its been a headache from day 1. You cannot even contact them via the Amazon page, the link is broken. This oven cost almost $2000. I am going to be escalating this matter.
I WAS SOLD A DEFECTIVE OVEN AND THAT IS WRONG! WRONG! WRONG!
I hope they see this. I will be escalating this matter. I worked too hard for my money to be sold a junky defective oven.
I ABSOLUTELY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS OVEN!
Absolute garbage. Amazon should stop selling this product. It arrived with a shattered door, just like many other customers, due completely to poor packaging. There is very little padding in the box, and absolutely none on the corners, where it is needed. The door is a full sheet of glass with metal strips on it for hinges and a handle. The corner of the glass hit the bottom of the box, and bingo, another shattered door. Since the rest of the oven seemed to be undamaged, we agreed to let Empava replace just the door. This they did very quickly and they were very nice about it.
When the replacement door came, we unboxed the rest of the oven to install it and found a smashed corner on the metal frame on the lower back corner. This was done BEFORE it was put in the box. When my husband tipped the unit up on the front edge to view the back corner, the whole frame warped. Absolutely flimsy.
Then he tried to get to the wiring to install the oven. The manual does not have diagrams of this oven, someone has cut and pasted pieces of manuals from Home Depot products and used them. So the drawings do not match the oven. Luckily my husband is a licensed electrician, so that was only a slight problem. However, when he got a good look at the wiring on the oven, he discovered that they were not covered. They were just bare wires sticking out of the back of the oven, no connectors of any sort. The wires do not match standard American wiring colors. He said they are usually in an enclosed box, too, and that having them exposed like that is not adequate, or safe. So he would not install it, as it was a fire hazard.
We got approval from Empava to return it, which we did a few days later. They received it on Dec. 21, but sent us no communication, and would not refund the purchase price. We had to get Amazon to force the refund weeks later. Bad, bad experience.
We really like the look and finish of this stove, and when it works it is convenient and useful. It would be a great value if it worked consistently. We've only had it a few weeks and the oven turns itself off intermittently. We bought $300 of Asurion protection but they've informed us that we have to work with the manufacturer while it is under manufacturer warranty. Amazon is willing to let us return it but that seems kind of impractical for such a large item that is already installed. So, we've left phone and email messages with Empava and spoke once with someone there who seemed confused and promised to call back. We'll process the return if we don't get a satisfactory response from Empava. Not sure if we just order another one and roll the dice or switch to a different brand. update: After getting through the chat AI and 5 different people at Amazon, we're getting a new one delivered with reinstall and haul away covered. The unit was replaced in our account by someone at Amazon but we had to "order" the service again and they'll zero it out. This is all satisfactory but the process has been cumbersome. Hopefully the replacement will work!!
For starters, I ordered two of these ovens. The first one had a hole in the bottom of the box and the oven was dented in. We were able to return this one for a free refund and free shipping. The second one had a hole in the side of the box and looked as if a fork lift had hit it in the side and dented it in. They would not pay for shipping to return this one and shipping was $175 dollars. Installed the oven and used it to cook all of our Thanksgiving food and it worked great and I really enjoy cooking with it. It really cooks food well and fast on Convection Broil.
I use oven to cook pretty much every food we eat, this oven has been working great for us. We are over 70 years old and, as much as we like those fancy ovens, this type of oven works better for our apartment.

For the money, I defy you to find a better oven or a better deal. Now let's see how long it lasts,
It took an extra week to get it delivered and when it did finally arrive the bottom was dented in such a way that the drawer would not open until I had repaired it. So far the stove and range seem to work well and it was easy to install. The equipment itself is good but delivery and handling were terrible.
** update - the oven is not working afterall (has never worked for more than 15 minutes at a time), it will not keep heat. The manufacturer has finally decided what the problem is but the part is still not been delivered and it is now past the window that I could return it. I'm furious and beyond angry at both Amazon and the manufacturer.
