This stove is a very similar version of the Ecopremium EPR-1. This stove is an EPR-A which is an export product designed for The Americas . With that said, this stove does not have the same premium build quality as the EPR-1, the stove I already own and have used for many years. I also should also mention, I received a USED/RETURNED item. The outer box was taped back together, the case was cracked, and the stove inside had signs of use, including a bent canister door. The knob was not smooth to turn as the Japanese domestic version. The latch to hold the canister door closed is redundant and unnecessary. I returned this product.
I'm very happy with my purchase. This is a really well made stove. Also was surprised to see that it comes with a carrying case.
I picked this up in case of power outages during storms (we get a lot of those in Texas). It just came in and I set it up and it is a very cool little stove. It is incredibly easy to set up, worked instantly, has a low burner seating (which is one reasons I chose this one), adjustable heat that is easy to control and should work for everything from high flame to low simmer, and it is attractive and low profile and looks nice on the kitchen counter.
I expected it to be maybe a little heavier and more sturdily made, it is pretty light weight. But then for anyone taking it on a road trip lighter weight would be a plus.
Am happy with purchase. Would purchase again. (Also feel a lot more secure in an all electric residence with a storm coming in -- I will still be able to cook and boil water if the power goes down and when not in use the stove is easy to store, but still looks nice if it is just sitting out on the counter.)
Brilliant product, provides steady heat, easy to clean, well made in Japan and smart looking too.
The unit really puts out the heat so be mindful about how high up you turn the burner or you might burn/overflow what your cooking. Butane is much hotter than lp gas/propane.
I use the Korean made butane cartridge; fit beautifully and have the same safety factor as the stove manufacturer cartridges.
First off the stove looks really sleek and modern compared to the regular butane stoves on the market. I tend to use this burner for deep frying fish outside. Because of the non stick drip pan it is extremely easy to wipe up the oil and clean. I also found it very neat that the burner head is not in the center allowing for a larger pan than my previous model. Overall I am very happy with my purchase!

Description
Iwatani has incorporated a stylish design with Iwatani’s known performance and safety. The Eco-Premium uses Inner Burner Head technology to concentrate the heat/flame to the center of the pan. This enables less heat waste and allows the EPR-A to perform like a 12,000 Btu/hr. burner while using the butane quantity of a 10,000 Btu/hr. stove. Iwatani has also designed the EPR-A so that the burner head and pan supports are farther away from the fuel compartment for added safety enables to use up to 11.5” dia. pot/pan. Equipped with Magnetic Locking System and the Iwatani designed HEAT PANEL SYSTEM, the Eco-Premium does it all.
This was exactly what I ordered.
Quality burner that comes with it’s own case. A bit more compare to what is out there but I have always lobe the quality of Iwatani products!
